Customer is dissatisfied with gio claim process, believes car is not total loss, wants to collect car and speak to a human.
I lodged a claim for my car with GIO. I dropped the car off for repairs around mid January 2024. Since I was not contacted by the repairer or GIO. I contacted through a call which did not connect me to a human but directed me to check my account and contact the repairer for details. I contacted the repairer he said that the car was a total loss. I do not agree with the outcome as it was a mere paint job. There was no mechanical damage hence I would like to show it to my own repairer. I would like to collect my car asap. But I am unable to speak to a human.

I paid a policy in February 2023 Annual Premium in about August I asked to add my son to policy as he was going to drive car, this never happened as o bought another car for him to use. I assumed that I didn’t need to take him off the policy and therefore just not pay the extra $200 odd dollars for him to drive the vehicle. I assumed not paying this would just make him not be able to drive car which he didn’t. I never received emails which they say they sent and not they voided my policy and say refund was issued. I never received this information and I’ve been with gio for many many years with many many different cars. Around this time I also tried to buy other cars for my son to drive. I’ve previously been told just don’t pay policy then they drop off the system and auto cancel. So I assumed this would be under same circumstances. I want my original policy for original price I paid for my annual premium reinstated along with all my years service with gio given back to me
