Customer seeks $1000 and apologies from coles staff after rude confrontation during 'try it; love it, money back' policy participation.
08/05/24 1:23pm Coles Port Melbourne I participated in the ‘Try it; Love it, Money Back’ policy, in good faith and was not only made to wait for than 10 minutes. I was challenged by two staff members, volunteering accusations that are rude and not at all relevant to the sentiment or intent of the promotion. Neither staff member knew the details of the policy and kept insisting on conditions that are not part of it. I am neurodivergent, I can still feel there horrible eyes on me as I shake typing this message. I have the entirety of this interaction recorded. Since this unnecessary and mean confrontation that was the catalyst for this manic episode, I have not eaten and I have as a direct result dusted my budget on impulsive crap. And now I’m left a mess, Empty fridge, empty pockets all because of two people chose to challenge me, call me a liar for no reason. Had to pull soem ham story out of the air about being a documentarian to allay this massive RSD triggering moment. For shame. Fix today, please. It’s not fair to be left like this. I kindly require $1000 and apologies from both staff members. I want This resolved today, please. I am happy to play the Audio over th phone

Customer complaint regarding cashier ruth's offensive behavior towards elderly asian mother, seeking investigation and action from coles for disrespectful conduct.
To the Officer in charge, I am writing to convey my profound dissatisfaction and frustration with my recent experience at your supermarket. As a dedicated customer, I feel it is imperative to address this issue with you. On June 4th, around 6:15 pm, my mother, daughter, and I visited your store in Sunnybank, Queensland 4109 for our weekly grocery shopping. Unfortunately, my interaction with your staff member Ruth left me feeling disheartened, offended, and concerned. This employee has worked as a cashier at this branch for many years. Her demeanour has consistently been poor, often serving customers with displeasure and irritation. I wonder how many vulnerable customers she has bullied over the years. Please see below for details of the incident: After my mother completed her payment with a friendly cashier, she returned to the store to look at the KitchenAid Ovenware available for redemption with her Flybuy credits. When she attempted to leave, she found the automated exit gantry closed. Unaware that the gate was not sensor-activated, my mother, who is in her 80s, gently pushed the trolley forward but was unable to exit. Ruth, another Coles cashier who was closest to her, chose not to open the gate but instead began yelling at her loudly. Unbeknownst to Ruth, I was seated directly opposite her. When she noticed my mother struggling, rather than helping her open the gate or asking her to wait, she muttered "stupid Asian" and began shouting, "No, no, no, you can't leave even if you've paid." Watch your CCTV. The cashier's remarks were offensive and utterly unacceptable. In a multicultural society, we must foster understanding and respect, not reinforce damaging stereotypes. Shocked, I confronted her for shouting at my mother. Ruth's dismissive, rude, and unapologetic behaviour, along with a general unwillingness to help customers, casts a negative light on your supermarket's reputation. Had she been busy with another customer, a simple request for my mother to wait would have sufficed. This behaviour impacts not only the individual targeted but also fosters an unwelcoming environment for all patrons. Consequently, it made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout my shopping experience. I strongly recommend prompt action to address and investigate this matter. Who does Ruth think she is with her outrageously rude and dismissive attitude towards customers? I wonder why Ruth thinks that she is smarter than my mother just because my mother is of Asian heritage. My mother is a retired businesswoman and founder of a successful fashion franchise business in Singapore that has been running for over 50 years. I am perplexed as to how a cashier could consider themselves to be better than my accomplished and successful mother. My mother is also an 80-year-old elderly person. It is imperative that Coles staff demonstrate fundamental respect towards elderly customers, irrespective of their racial background. Ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all patrons is not only a matter of basic decency but also aligns with Australia's commitment to diversity and customer service excellence. Please conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and get back to me on this issue. I will escalate this matter through all available channels if required. I value your attention to this matter and trust that you will approach it with impartiality. Thank you for your swift response to this complaint. Sincerely, Julian Yong

Child injured by security doors at coles store, seeking safety improvements and assurance of patron safety.
To whom it may concern, I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing incident that occurred today at your Five Dock store, involving your security doors. As my child and I were exiting the premises on the 29th of April around 5:50 pm, the security doors unexpectedly closed on my child's face, resulting in visible bruising and considerable pain. I am deeply concerned about the safety measures in place at your establishment, as incidents like these should not occur under any circumstances. The incident has not only caused physical harm to my child but has also left us shaken and concerned about the safety of other patrons, particularly children, who frequent your store. I have attached a photo documenting the injury sustained by my child as a result of this incident. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and promptly address any shortcomings in your security system to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Additionally, I kindly request that you provide an assurance of measures taken to ensure the safety of all patrons, especially children, within your premises. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.

My special needs daughter bit into hard plastic whilst eating her pre packaged salad from Coles. It hurt her mouth and said there was glass in her meal. We checked her mouth and there was no bleeding, just soreness. We inspected her plate and noted a large piece of plastic within her salad left on the plate.

Customer unhappy with lack of staff at manned checkouts, directed to self-serve. seeking resolution and apology from coles.
Dear Coles, I want to make a complaint in regards to the service at the checkouts. I am disappointed in your service at the Coles Brighton - Bay Street. When there is a lot of people in the store at the checkouts the checkout agents direct people to the the self serve checkouts rather than the manned checkout. This takes forever especially when you have a trolley full of goods. There are simply not enough staff at the checkouts. Coles should be putting more staff at the manned checkouts. If this is not resolved within 7 business days I will be escalating this further. Kind Regards, Rodney Fleiszig

Customer ordered coles items via uber, didn't receive coles receipt, found mark-up. uber and coles blame each other. previous orders had no issues.
Below is a copy of the emails to uber and Coles. I ordered uber delivery of Coles items using their online catalogue due to my Parkinson's disease.. No Coles receipt was received from Uber. I checked the pricing once Uber sent the invoice and found a substantial mark-up. Uber blame Coles. Coles blame Uber. I have ordered previously without issue, receiving catalogue special pricing. This is Ginelyn from the Uber Support Team. Sorry to hear about the confusion that you haven't received your Coles receipt for this order. We understand that you need the actual receipt from Coles as you didn't receive it. Please be advised that the delivery person can no longer provide the printed Coles receipt as the final charge will be based on your Uber Eats app. I have resent a copy of your Uber Eats receipt for your reference. In the future, please refer to the Uber Eats receipt available on your Uber application. You can find your receipt under the past order section of your app. Dear David, Thank you for contacting Coles Online. To support our sustainability ambitions, we no longer include paper invoices with any online orders, however you can access a copy of your invoice online via your Coles Online account. To view or download invoices, simply: Log into your Coles Online account and navigate to the account menu (top right of the screen) Click on ‘Orders’ and select ‘past orders’ Select the order you wish to view the invoice for and click on 'order details' Scroll down the order details page to ‘Invoices' and click on the link to view or print the invoice Neither comes We hope this information has been helpful and look forward to delivering your groceries soon. Customer complains about failed grocery delivery and poor customer service from coles, seeking an apology and resolution.
Subject: Serious Complaint Regarding Failed Grocery Delivery and Unacceptable Customer Service Dear [Coles Supermarket Customer Service], I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the appalling service I received from Coles Supermarket in regards to a recent grocery delivery. On [insert date], I placed an order with Coles Supermarket for groceries to be delivered to my address. However, to my dismay, the groceries never arrived. Concerned about the whereabouts of my order, I reached out to your customer chat for assistance. What followed was a series of frustrating interactions that left me utterly dismayed. Instead of promptly addressing the issue, I was met with incompetence and disbelief from your representative, Dane. Despite providing evidence that the delivery had not reached my address, including a photograph of the incorrect delivery location, Dane persisted in asserting that the order had been delivered correctly. I spent an exhausting three hours of my Sunday attempting to rectify the situation, only to be met with skepticism and accusations from Dane. It is deeply disappointing that your staff would choose to question the integrity of a loyal customer rather than take responsibility for their mistake and take immediate steps to remedy the situation. After hours of unnecessary back-and-forth, Dane begrudgingly agreed to process a refund for my undelivered groceries. However, this does little to rectify the inconvenience and frustration I experienced as a result of Coles Supermarket's incompetence and lack of accountability. I am appalled by the substandard level of customer service I have encountered and the complete disregard for customer satisfaction demonstrated by your company. It is unacceptable that I am now left without the groceries I needed and must wait for a refund to purchase essential items. I urge Coles Supermarket to take this matter seriously and implement measures to ensure that such egregious errors and disrespectful treatment of customers are not repeated in the future. As a loyal customer, I expect better from a company of Coles' reputation and stature. I look forward to a prompt response and resolution to this matter. Sincerely, Steven Cocks Stevecocks1@hotmail.com
