When this happens, you should check your meter to see if the estimate is correct. If the estimated meter read is wrong, you can use this resolution to complain to EnergyAustralia and ask them to do a proper read for your electricity bill.
Here are some tips for this resolution:
- Whenever your bill has been calculated with a meter estimate, a good first step is to check the meter yourself to see if the estimate is incorrect – and if so, by how much.
- Pass the real meter reading on to EnergyAustralia and ask them to revise your bill.
