This complaint involves payments sent to Jan Hoare, ANZ account 350 664 157 BSB 013 030. On 21.04.23 a payment of $16000 at 6.18pm was sent with ack no 180 838 417 Ref Dr Anderson Owen 22. 04.23 payment of $50000 at 6.26am ack no. 180 839 732 ref Dr Anderson Owen 24.04.23 payment of $50000 at 7.32pm ack no 180 856 285 ref Dr Anderson Owen 20.04.23 payment of $40000 at 3.13pm ack no 180870376. Ref Dr Anderson Owen. The recipient tells me the two $50000 payments were held by the ANZ Bank for scam checking and she is yet to be notified of the outcome. The ANZ Bank through this process with Ajust tells me the money was paid to Jan Hoare’s account and that I should get the Bendigo Bank to follow up by asking them to contact the ANZ Bank. My account details are: Dianne Heather McCosker BSB 633 000 Ac 141 558 254 Customer no. 253 77177 The money was intended as payment to have my partner Dr Anderson Owen released from jail in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He is still there.

Customer seeks apology and clarification from bendigo bank for incorrect advice on mortgage repayment reduction, considering switching lenders.
Advice that was incorrect. I asked for a mortgage repayment reduction for 2 months and at this time I advised the person on the phone that the repayments would for these months be later as my payment dates from work had changed. This has been the case for 4 months now and it would continue till I was back to work in 2 months. I was advise as long at it was within 14 days it would be fine. Today I received a call 2 days after the due date and was told I was “late” with my repayment. When I explained this is what I was told by the same person who I originally spoke to I was told “ this applies to full mortgage payments. When it’s reduced it needs to be paid on time”. What?? You change the story to suite. You give customers some relief which mine you is only temporary as it needs to be repayed back anyway but you create another rule. Sounds pretty unrealistic to me. Also, I think it might be time to look for another lender if this is how unreasonable BENDIGO bank will be.

WE SUGGEST

Banks play a hugely important role in society by helping people facilitate day to day transactions and manage financial affairs. Whilst banks are typically extremely reliable, occasionally people do have an issue that needs fixing. Whether it's an incorrect fee or a transaction you don’t recognise, Ajust is here to simplify the process of creating your complaint.

We explain how to complain to any bank – from the big 4 (ANZ, CBA, NAB and Westpac), to credit unions, neo-banks and everything in between. We also share guidance about common issues facing banking consumers, including unauthorised transactions, faulty ATMs, branch closures, poor customer service, delays and more.

How to complain to

Bendigo Bank

Ajust helps hundreds of consumers resolve complaints every month. By following the simple process, Ajust will get the right information to the right place at your bank so that they can resolve your complaint. Here are some things to keep in mind when you’re getting started.

01
Describe the issue and how it affected you
It’s important to be clear about what went wrong, such as an unauthorised transaction or a problem with online banking. Be sure to tell your bank how the issue affected you so that they can act swiftly to resolve your complaint.
02
Consider how you’d like your bank to resolve your complaint
Help your bank by being clear about the outcome you are requesting, such as a refund of unauthorised charges or an apology for an outage. This will help the bank work swiftly to investigate and resolve the issue.
03
Gather any materials that support your complaint
Sharing relevant documentation can help your bank identify your issue faster. Consider sharing files such as bank statements or transaction receipts so that the bank can visually identify your issue and work towards a solution.
