Origin Energy

Origin Energy is a large energy retailer. Origin is the biggest supplier of electricity and the 2nd biggest supplier of gas to residential customers in the south-eastern part of Australia. Origin had the most customer complaints reported by the regulator in 2021-22 (over 20,000), but this number had dropped from almost 30,000 the year before. Origin is reliable at resolving complaints sent through Ajust.

Red Energy

Red Energy is a big energy retailer, supplying electricity and gas in south-eastern Australia. Red Energy is the 4th largest supplier of residential electricity in NSW, after the big 3 energy retailers. So it’s not surprising that Red Energy also had the most complaints reported in 2021-22 outside the big 3 companies. Only a relatively small number of complaints to Red Energy progressed to the ombudsman.

EnergyAustralia

EnergyAustralia is one of the biggest retailers of gas and electricity in Australia. There were over 18,000 complaints made to EnergyAustralia in 2021-22, a slight increase on the year before (according to reports from the regulator). EnergyAustralia also had the longest average call wait time of the big 3 retailers. EnergyAustralia consistently resolves complaints from Ajust.

What can I do if my bank doesn't respond to my complaint?
