Delayed beta-testing resulted in unauthorized charges of $10,000. start-up seeking refund as they were not live during beta phase.
We are currently in beta-testing phase and have an agreement with ZAI to commence a monthly fee of $2,200. Development of our platform took longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, our beta testing phase was delayed. We have just concluded our beta-testing phase and intend on going live in approximately 3 weeks. During this time, we have been debited on 5 separate occasions at total of $10,000. For less than 70 transactions. I notified our account manager on 5 separate occasions of the pending charge, with no response on 3 of the occasions and on 2 of the occasions, he suggested he would discuss this with the finance team and lastly he confirmed that the last month being January we would not be charged. Only to be charged again. We are a start-up, attempting to get to launch. 10,000 is a substantial amount to a start-up which we should not have been charged during BETA. ZAI debited money without consent, refuses to disclose client's identity, no response or resolution, seeking $201.45 and apology.
Zai started to direct debit money from my account on behalf of their client. They will not tell me who their client is. Their client after many attempts at speaking to Zai has not responded or reached out about rectifying the issue. Nor can I be certain direct debits will not continue to come out from this company in the future.
