Just Scrub It Clean

I engaged the services of Just Scrub It Clean to clean out windows inside and out, and our oven and exhaust fan. The cost was $490, I paid $150 via bank transfer and the rest was cash. I left Sheree and Justin to do their job, and I didn’t check each window or the oven before they left. I completely trusted them although I’d never used them before, they had really good reviews on Facebook and we live in a small town. I did notice Justin with a spray bottle of windex and thought they’d use something a bit better but didn’t question it at the time. After they left I did notice one window was streaky and not the finish I thought. Later that day with the sun on the windows I saw they were all streaky and then I checked them one by one, some hasn’t even been cleaned. Flyscreens hadn’t been taken off and we’re still dusty. How could they clean the glass if the screen hadn’t been removed? I had assumed the flyscreens would be cleaned but didn’t check this. I was going to contact them the next day but my dad had a fall and has cancer so it was a few days before I contacted Sheree and Justin. Initially I was so distracted with my dad I thought I’d let it go but why should I? $490 is a lot for a job not done properly. The oven was ok but not great, it was pretty dirty though. But the exhaust fan was still dirty. I contacted Just Scrub It Clean last Thursday and expressed my disappointment and concern that my windows were still dirty. I didn’t hear from them.This morning I asked them to please contact me today as I did expect a response from them. Nothing. I now wonder if this is a scam. They said they went to my neighbours house even though they had my address and the house number is on the letterbox. They entered my house without calling me even though I was not far away in the adjoining paddock and they knew I’d be home. They didn’t want me to walk them through the house, Sheree said I’ve had a look so that was fine. I don’t like to micro manage trades and as their reviews were great I decided to trust them. I find it odd that they haven’t responded at all to my messages and now I just want my money back so I can get another cleaner to clean the windows, the screens, the oven and exhaust.
