Customer requests brisbane city council to extend the right-turn green light duration at roma street traffic light for better traffic flow.
The right-turn green light at the traffic light in front of the fire station on Roma Street can only last for 4 seconds, and only for 10 seconds during the busy lunchtime period. Can it be changed to 15 to 20 seconds to improve traffic efficiency?

Residents of grosvenor building were unable to leave due to marathon, creating safety concerns and preventing important visits, demanding apology and resolution.
The fun run/ marathon held Sunday 2nd June 2024 in the Brisbane CBD did not provide the residents of the Grosvenor building ((12 Edward Street ) the ability to leave or enter their building until 1.45pm that day. This created an unexpected and unacceptable situation for the residents. It crested an unacceptable safety issue which no one on the day (including organisers and police officers ) were aware of and had any authority to resolve In my particular situation, I was unable to visit my elderly father on his birthday - of greater concern due to his ill health- I would not be able to assist in an emergency situation, which has occurred multiple times over the past year. From a communication perspective, the building manager confirmed that a map of how to exit the building was provided which showed the usual exit route via Margaret street against the one way direction of traffic. This did not eventuate this year. Again, I stress that that this event created a serious safety issue that no one on the day was prepared to take responsibility for. Please respond directly to me or this issue will be quickly escalated. Regards Paul Barry 1402/ 12 Edward Street Brisbane CBD Mobile 0414812129

Request to remove trip hazard from garden on public land and replace front 'fence' with proper fence.
The man in Flat 1, 49 Lydia St, Kalinga 4030 has built a garden on the public nature strip in front of flat 1's front fence creating a trip hazard to the public. They also have a front fence that does not reflect any neighbouring properties and is an eye sore.

Customer complains about sloppy bin pickups by brisbane city council, including newspapers spread around complex and bin split by truck.
Bin pickups have been very sloppy lately, I live in a complex and there were newspapers from my bin spread all around the ground of the complex, I also had a bin been split by a bin truck, it was replaced but that is very bad judgement by the driver.

Complaint about private vehicle selling coffee in public park, seeking action from brisbane city council to prevent further encroachment on public lands.
As a user of public parks I was shocked today to find that my usual place at Orleigh Park in West End (not far from the West End ferry) where I and friends often sit, has been taken over by a private vehicle selling coffee. The proprietor said he has permission from Brisbane City Council to park WITHIN our park on the grass. He said he has permission to be there seven days a week. I object strongly to BCC selling off our public areas to private enterprise. Private vehicles should only be allowed to park in regular street parking spots to do their business, just as the Mr Whippy trucks have done for decades, without encroaching on our public lands. This use of our public land is completely unacceptable.

Customer is frustrated with brisbane city council's website and automatic toll system, seeking resolution and apology.
I've sold my motor home to my son. And his wife every time they go over the bridge. The automatic thing hasn't been working and they send me a demand. I'm i'm trying to get onto the linked website and it is just the total shambles. They told me I can take my name off the vehicle and put the name on to get the automatically. I got on to the website and the bloody thing will only let me open an account. It is a total shambles this link website. Fix it, please. And get someone that knows what they're doing to fix it.Not some idiot council worker thank you.Goodbye.

Residential parking issues causing dangerous situations on a bus route. trucks and 4wd ute parked near corners creating blind spots and safety concerns.
2 separate residential parking issues that are creating potentially dangerous situations. 1. A resident who lives at the other end of the street has decided to park his work truck and long trailer at this end of the street. This street is on a bus route. It is already a dangerous blind corner at this end and the large truck parked outside makes things even more awkward. There is plenty of space at the owners end of the street and further away from the corner. 2. The resident in the yellow house has a large 4WD Ute parked very close to the corner outside his house (don't know if it belongs to him but it is always parked there). It forces drivers wll to be on the wrong side of the road in order to make the turn. Because of where the truck is always parked now, it makes the corner even more dangerous. Someone who lives around here often treats the corner like a racetrack and I am concerned that there will be an accident.

Customer complained about the delayed rubbish collection by brisbane city council during the christmas/new year period.
I rang the Brisbane CityCouncil on the 5th Dec 2023 as a result of receiving a letter box notice advising of a pending roadside collection of unwanted goods. My complaint was that as soon as this was received , residents would start piling their rubbish onto the footpaths and based on previous experience it would still be there in February 2024.. The response was that it would be picked up within 2 to 3 weeks. My response was that in my experience it would not be picked up until sometime in February. Please note that when I left my home at about 4pm that day rubbish had already started to appear on the kerbside of my street. I pointed out to the person I spoke to on the phone that it was “ lunacy” to carry out this “ service” over Christmas/New Year As visitors come to town and you can guarantee heavy rainfall which further contributes to a disgusting eyesore and potential health / walking hazard. Unfortunately the masses of rubbish are still piled up around the area I and I am disgusted and embarrassed to invite people to my home. I am a proud Brisbane resident but my enthusiasm is definitely waning in the last few years. I await your reply and advice that a more acceptable process will occur in future years. Yours faithfully David Badham
