Customer had a procedure covered by defence health, but claims were rejected. unable to reach customer service for resolution.
I had a procedure done in December last year and there was a problem with my health insurance cover at the time. I spoke to Defence health and they sent me an email to confirm our phone conversation that they would cover the hospital procedure costs. Since then the hospital and my specialist have tried to claim and it was rejected. I have tried many , many times to get through to Defence health to see the issue and I have been redirected and told that they will follow it up and nothing has been done

Customer seeks $4000, apology, resolution for missing reimbursements due to defence health's errors impacting payments and claims, lack of responsibility and communication.
In October my defence health payments started bouncing.<br />I paid via credit card the bounced monthly payment and they “unblocked’ my account.<br />I was assured everything was fixed.<br />I was notified in April that no payment had been made since November and they were cancelling my policy. When I phoned they said no payments has come out for months. I back paired over $4000 and they ‘unblocked’ my direct debit yet again. <br />In May my payment bounced again…. I phoned and had them read out the bank details….. they were not the details I have had registered with them for over 8 years but an old account that was closed in 2016.<br />Their computer system had been through an update and reverted to and old bank account that was closed in 2016 which directly impacted my monthly direct debits as well as my reimbursements for claims.<br />I have had them re-enter my new details….<br />I then asked about any claims I have made and where those funds would have gone… They have not been paid to me but have been sent to the old, closed account.<br />I am now awaiting resolution to this.<br />I would like to speak to someone higher up for an apology and compensation for the time and distress this has caused me to rectify. It is still not rectified. I had to find the solutions myself. I had to ask for my bank details to be checked. I had to ask about my claims payments and ask for that to be looked into also.<br />This has been distressing to me. I have been treated with loss of insurance from Defence Health’s errors.<br />The staff at customer service refuse to allow me to speak to someone higher.<br />I have requested the head of customer service call me back and that has been refused.<br />I was promised a phone call on Monday and this did not happen.<br />I have spend numerous hours on the phone and have called many times.<br />I have had to follow up with my banking institution to confirm the details were from my old account closed in 2016.<br />My bank has told me they can see that Defence Health is trying to perform activity against this old closed account.<br />Defence health have not acknowledged that there was an error back in October, have not accepted any responsibility and have failed to resolve the issue completely.<br />I am still awaiting information about where my missing reimbursements are.
