Customer ordered a washing machine dryer stacker, faced delays, lack of communication from lg electronics, and unhelpful responses from dhl.
Ordered and paid in full for a Washing Machine Dryer Stacker online on 21/06/2024 believing it was to be delivered on 26/06/2024. Called them on 26/06 and was told that it was a pre order and they were waiting for stock. Checked online again for the same items and it says both washing machine and dryer were in stock for delivery postcode 3180. Sent emails to obsanz@lge.com and to LG Administrator CEO Office and no response from either after almost 2 weeks. Phoned LG Electronics again on 08/07/2024 and the lady told me that it was with DHL and its up to them to work out delivery times. Phoned DHL with the Sales order number provided to me from LG and the girl at DHL said she did not know what I was talking about and the number provided meant nothing to DHL. Phoned LG Electronics again and this time I got a nicer guy who promised me that he would look into it and follow up and he to has not bothered to call me back. Don't know where to go to from here.

Customer seeks $225 reimbursement for rental fridge during warranty repair, facing delays, miscommunication, and lack of resolution from lg.
My refrigerator purchased just under four years ago stopped working. I called LG, gave them all the necessary information and they sent a technician to us on the 23/2/24. They told us it was the compressor, and they could replace it under warranty, but the part needed to be ordered. I was then told I had to wait until 13/3/24 for the part to be fitted as there were no technicians available. I had lost a fridge and freezer full of food and was now looking at over three weeks without a working refrigerator so I contacted LG and asked whether I could rent a fridge during this time and if they would reimburse me the cost. They sent me a link to send a quote and also a claim form for the lost food. I am over two weeks in now and I have called LG so many times (I have the phone call logs to prove it) and I get the same story. The first guy gave me the run around and said I needed more quotes when I was told to just send one. Then when they received that they try to pretend they haven't received it and then they miraculously find them and tell me that it wasn't 'escalated' with the other team. They then proceed to tell you they will escalate it and it will take two to three business days to be approved and I will receive a call. However, I do not receive a call and when I call back, I get the same story again. 'I don't know what happened, but the previous person didn't escalate the matter and it will take another two to three business days. When I get fed up with being on the phone for so long, getting told the same lies and refusing to get off the phone until the matter is solved, they pretend to not be able to hear me and disconnect the call. There are no other numbers to call to complain about the service and when you call this number back you get a different person and have to start the whole frustrating process again. We are a family of four who are being expected to live without a fridge for weeks. It's impossible. I could have had one delivered the day I first contacted them, but nobody would authorise it. It was $225 for the whole month which I thought was reasonable compared to the other quote of $734 per week that he made me chase to waste more time. The other reason they told me it wasn't authorised was that one quote was done per month, and one was per week. I have no control over how rental businesses choose to structure their quotes. I was also told they needed four quotes to waste more of my time and delay things which was not possible as there are not enough companies in my area that do short term appliance rentals.

Customer complains about lg fridge breaking down, lost food, delays in repair, lack of communication, and refusal of full compensation.
We purchased an LG fridge in May 2021, in January 2024 the fridge stopped working. First contact with LG was on the 21st of January and a service was booked to find the issue, the fridge was out of warranty but LG offered to cover repairs regardless (pretty sure they knew this particular model was a lemon product). We lost EVERYTHING in our fridge / freezer. LG was unable to get the authorised repair out to us until 6th of February, so we had to purchase a second hand fridge ($240) On the 6th of February the repairer came out, I had to take the day off ($235 in lost wages) to be available for the repairman, by 11:30am the fridge was confirmed that it was not functioning due to a compressor that didn't work (covered by a 10 year warranty). The repairer told me that LG would have the report immediately upon him sending it, I contacted LG around 1:30pm they told me it wasn't received, I contacted them on the 7th of February and got the same story, they'd not received the report. On the 8th of February I contacted again and this time apparently they'd got the report on the 6th, not once had LG tried to contact me, it was at this point I requested a refund for the fridge and this is where the issues with LG began. I requested a full refund on the fridge, compensation for the lost food ($435), compensation for the fridge I had to purchase ($240), my lost wages ($235) and compensation of my time spent chasing the matter ($115) which as per ACCC I was entitled to compensation that put me in the same position I was prior to the fridge breaking down, none of the above costs would have happened if our fridge had still been functioning, not once between the 21st of January and the 8th of February had LG ever contacted me, I had to continually chase up what was happening. On the 8th of February I spoke to an "apparent" supervisor cherry who denied I was entitled to any compensation except for food and that was going through the food claims process currently, LG would not provide a refund but we could accept a store credit at Good Guys and request a refund there. On the 9th of February LG contacted me and again said the matter had gone to the top of the top (but refused to provide any name of who) and I was only entitled to receive store credit and that was final. I was contacted on the 15th February by email from LG food claims who would give me $250 only for the items in my fridge / freezer when these items to replace cost $435. In between the 8th and the 15th of February I have emailed a letter of demand asking for the full compensation and refund and details of the person who made decision (top of the top) these have gone ignored. I have filed a ACCC report as LG has done a number of things that violate my consumer rights, and lodged a complaint with Consumer Services SA, but both I am waiting on even initial contact back.

Customer is complaining about technician's visit to fix ice maker, resulting in a gas leak and unusable fridge.
Good Morning. I had a tehcnician out to fix ice maker in October. He came out and replaced the door panel but the ice maker still remained unfixed by this action. I called again to get it fixed and the same technician came out and then pronounced a gas leak on his report and the fridge is now completely unusable as it defrosted overnight spoiling all of the food in the fridge and freezer. This problem was not in existence before the technician arrived as it was a working fridge and freezer, it was the ice maker that was broken. Now the fridge is completely unusable after this technicians visit. How is this going to be rectified as my fridge and freezer was working prior to the visit and now it is completely broken after his visit. I have tried discussing this over the telephone but I am getting no where. It seems completely unfair to have the technician who visited to fix the fridge and as a result I have now been left fridgeless. I would like to know how you can rectify this situation as it was your technician who attended.
