Complaint about the poor condition of roads due to roadworks causing damage to cars and near misses.
Due to roadworks on Mamre Road at St Marys, a detour has been put in place. I cannot turn left onto Bakers Lane at Kemps Creek to access my place of work. Abbot Road is currently only one way leading on to Mamre Road. This means that all traffic that needs to access Bakers Lane must drive further down Mamre Road and turn left onto Abbot Road at Kemps Creek and follow the road around into Aldington Road. People using this detour include the staff, parents and students who attend Trintiy Catholic Primary School, Mamre Anglican College and Emmaus Catholic College and Emmaus Retirement Village. There are quite a few buses too! The condition of these roads is terrible. There are so many potholes and they are getting worse with the increased traffic. Cars are getting damaged and there have been near misses with cars trying to avoid the potholes. The roads are also being used by large trucks entering and exiting industrial construction sites on Aldington Road.
