Customer seeks refund of $1532.74 from airbnb due to misleading location information and unhelpful customer service.
I booked a home in Puerto Morelos Mx. The location pin showed it to be east of the main highway at the intersection with the road to the beach. When I got my confirmation it said I would be the exact address in 48 hours. I waited and after 48 hours they sent an street name. This street runs about 4 miles ,North and South through the town. I immediately called Airbnb and was told they couldn't tell me the address or even the name of the gated community it was in. I could cancel but would only get back $107 of the $1500 I deposited. After 48 hours and 15 minutes. I asked the host to tell me the address. He told me it comes with the confirmation. I told him it didn't. I asked for my deposit back and he told me to cancel and pay the fees. I went online and found his ad on booking.com. It has a pin on a community called Palma Grand and says it is 2.2 miles from the town center. This is not where I want to be or thought this house was. Airbnb customer service is a nightmare. I have been trying to resolve this for weeks.

I booked a house for a weekend stay, however found on booking in that the house had structural issues and a pole holding up the roof. I decided not to stay there with my two children given the safety concerns. They refused to refund me any part of the stay, including service or cleaning fees.

Airbnb said the request was pending, then froze so I checked into a hotel, the next day Airbnb app opened and charged my credit card. I have sent 5 messages and all attempts for a resolution have met blocks. I would like a refund and Airbnb 11.5% interest, NSW local court fees and my hourly rate.
