Customer booked a stay with booking.com, faced issues with key, cleanliness, noise, and lack of amenities. requests investigation and feedback.
I booked a two night stay at 2 Separate Rooms 36 Clarevale St. Clayton South on the 16th & 17th of April. When we arrived & finally managed to open the locked key box after having to ring the management, we found there was no key. I then rang again & obtained the code for the other locked key box. This time we found that this key was not for the room we had booked & there was already someone in our room. Another call to management & I was told they would sort it out, with the other person. After a while the owner arrived & moved the other persons bags to where he should be & remade the beds in the room I had booked. All this took around an hour, which I wasn't happy about after driving for 11 hours to get there & it was now dark & cold. The first thing I noticed about the place is that unlike the add for the place, there were not just 2 rooms being rented out but 4 plus a caravan out the back. This means there were 5 lots of people sharing 2 bathrooms & 2 toilets plus the kitchen. One bathroom was reasonably clean, but the other one was filthy, with dark mildew stains on the grouting of the tiles every where. On top of that there are signs everywhere explaining how everyone should clean up after themselves in each room. You have leave by 10am but there is no cleaner that comes in after that like other places that clean between 10am & 2pm. Because there were so many people staying there it was not as quiet as I thought it would have been with people talking until late making it hard to relax & get to sleep, also in the morning as people started their day early, they would be noisy because of extra people moving around. There was some tea, coffee & sugar provided for guests, but that was it , no other condiments or spreads etc. This was quite unlike other Air B&B's I have stayed in, which had all of the things this place didn't have. I think places that apply to use your platform should have their premises checked out more thoroughly before accepting them to avoid misleading advertising & disappointment. I also think this place now should undergo a full review by your platform to verify what I am saying. I would appreciate your feedback after investigating my issue. . Thank you for your time.

Customer seeks $1169 refund, apology, and alternative accommodation after booking cancellation issue with booking.com.
I spent hours finding a cottage near Skipton in UK. I chose The Kerr. My husband made a booking and paid $A1169 for 6 nights from 5th to 11th Sept, 2024. Then he had an email saying the booking couldn't be confirmed, "a problem with processing", refund in 7-12 days...or so. Transaction: 2024-03-26T08:10:35Z Payment reference: 43f48309-1612-4ce2-b54b-04a14d1a3c9e. Immediate return of funds please! Find us an alternative, akin to The Kerr please! Hi bookings.com/Adante Booking ref Booking number: 4245251536 I would like to think that I am a loyal customer. On arriving at 2BR Chic apartment at 30 Rose Lane Melbourne Apartment i found the following: Their was a sign on the dishwasher saying it wasn't working the 2 washing machines were full of towels and bed sheets the door to the patio doesn't close you can't get free to air tv on the tv WIFI isn't working Little paper left There is a musty odour in the apartment and the main bedroom pillow cases smelt like they hadn't been washed in a while so I swapped them with the ones in the spare room Spoke to Kelvin who said he doesn't own the apartment and only helps with check in Wanting to know who i can speak to as it is unacceptable Regards David Dwyer

Customers seeking refund and compensation for currency exchange loss from booking.com due to booking issues in saudi arabia, germany, and payment problems.
3 complaints for 3 cases: 1) they left me without booking in Saudi Arabia. After 24h they offered me an alternative booking at 1000 km away from the desired location 2) i booked a hotel in Germany on purpose 1 day earlier as my colleague was landing at 8 am in the morning. in less than 24h from the right of check in they charged me for full reservation without refund and i did NOT cancel the reservation. At least 24h need to happen to decide it is a no show. 3) i booked an alternative booking since they screw me over, i paid, and they asked to pay again at the property as the booking.com payment wasnt received (doesnt the booking.com reservation not guaranteeing anything?). So they will refund but am losing money due to currency exchange. In addition over 1 hour in roaming to deal with them over the phone.

We are writing to address two cancelled flights for which we are seeking urgent assistance in obtaining refunds. Our details are as follows: Flight from London to Valencia on 11/9/23 Airline: EasyJet Airline Reference: K5H8HZD Booking.com Customer Reference: 40-372702594 Flight from Seville to London Airline: British Airways Booking Reference: SMWJUF Booking.com Customer Reference: 40-371637144 Regarding the EasyJet flight, my wife and I have contacted EasyJet regarding the recovery of Taxes & Fees, which they confirmed we are entitled to. However, as the booking was made through a third party (Booking.com), we were informed that Booking.com needs to handle the recovery process. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue through customer service, no action has been taken. The total refund amount for both of us is $AUD24.62 each, totaling $AUD49.24. For the British Airways flight, we were advised by Booking.com customer service representatives during our visit to London in September that British Airways would refund the entire flight cost due to health reasons forcing us to cancel our trip to Spain. However, we have not received any updates on this matter. This is the second time we are contacting customer service for assistance. The total refund amount for the British Airways flight is $AUD388.91. We urgently request your attention to this matter as it has been unresolved for far too long, causing significant inconvenience. We kindly ask for prompt action to facilitate the refunds as soon as possible. We look forward to your immediate response and resolution of this matter.

I purchased airline tickets for my partner and I through booking.com the airline change my flights I called booking.com and they could not find me suitable flights so they send and email saying the only option left was to receive a refund. I agreed to a refund. The next day I received an email from the airline saying I’ll be receiving an airline credit at this stage because they had already cancelled my flight I booked one way ticket to my destination. Now the airline doesn’t want to give me access to my book my return airfares they keep saying booking.com has to do on my behalf, booking.com doesn’t want anything to do with it. I had been told I would receive a refund and have been debating with the airline and booking.com for the last 2 weeks endless hours of calling both united airline and booking.com $8300 no one wants to take responsibility for. I’m a student and my money is gone and honestly don’t know what to do anymore I’ve been robbed and feel helpless and stressed I have no return tickets nor money back. Please help me my trip is supposed to be on the 25th of December 2023 only 12 days to go and I have encountered so much stress from booking.com not wanting to take any responsibility at all.

We sent this email to Booking.com on 29th October last and have heard nothing and as you can see - this is after many, many failed attempts: "From David Mitchell - we have two cancelled flights - One from London to Valencia on 11/9/23 Airline Reference K5H8HZD Booking.com customer Reference 40-372702594. My wife and I contacted EasyJet about recovering the Taxes & Fees - which they said we were entitled to recover - but because it was done through a third party (Booking.com) - Booking.com had to do the recovery on our behalf. This is the THIRD time I have contacted Customer Service on this issue and NOTHING has been done. We are looking at $AUD24.62 for each of David and Sylvia - totalling $AUD49.24. The other flight that was cancelled - well in advance of the date we were to travel - was from Seville to London on British Airways Booking Reference SMWJUF and Booking.com Customer Reference 40-371637144. While we were in London in September visiting family and ad cause to cancel our trip to Spain due to ill health, Booking.com customer service told us verbally that British Airways would refund the whole flight cost. We are yet to hear anything about this and this is the SECOND itme I am contacting customer service to get action on our behalf. The flight total from British Airways was $AUD388.91 but if we are not going to get the full refund as promised - we must get the fees & charges for each of us at $26.19 totalling $AUD52.38. I require your most urgent attention to this matter which has been allowed to drag on far too long - at Booking.com's cause. Please answer this message with prompt action! I purchased 4 flights from Danang to Phu Quoc for 28.03.24. These flights got cancelled by the airline and I am struggling to receive my refund. I increased rates but the bookings came through at the old rate. I emailed booking.com, they responded with an automated response. I waited until I was paid to contact booking.com again, which is almost impossible. I apparently, had "mobile rate" turned on.. This could have been resolved if booking.com answered emails from a human not a machine. It has cost me $400. The commission they take is robbery and you get nothing for it. Not happy

Customer seeks reimbursement from booking.com for a fraudulent payment made through the app, requesting an apology and further investigation into the issue.
On the 9th of January 2024, I received a request to make a payment for accommodation through the app, the message had a link. I had received similar requests from accommodation when previously they were unable to take money from the card I had provided through the website so believed it to be genuine. I made the payment via the link and then saw a blank screen, as though the payment didn't go through. I contacted the accommodation through the app to see if they received the payment but did not receive a response. My card was then frozen by my bank so I contacted them and confirmed that I had made the payment. At this point I still believed I was making a payment to the accomodation - they did not tell me it was fraudulent at that time only that the payee name was different. Later I received a call from my banks Fraud dept to say that it was indeed fraudulent and that they had canceled my card, but it was too late to stop the payment. I put in a dispute form to try to get reimbursed however the bank says I am at fault because I clicked on the link and made the payment and then authorised the payment. I don’t believe I am at fault because the initial call with my bank did not tell me it was fraudulent and because I have had similar situations with accomodation providers on booking.com before and they have canceled my booking which has left me with anxiety about having further accommodation canceled on me. I have raised a complaint directly with booking.com - I have sent them the requested documentation several times now however they are still saying that I have not.
