Hi, I have been charged roughly $12,000 for my electricity bill, I did contacted my own electrician as well who climbed there is no way we can receive that much bill. I have been going back-and-forth with AGL and they giving me very little discount, this is something that I can’t afford. I am pretty sure there is something wrong with their meter or readings, did wanted to change the meter but they did not, I only had some visits.

Customer seeks over a thousand dollars in overdue solar credits from agl to purchase medical equipment for wife's lymphodema.
Since October 2023 I have attempted numerous times to get my solar credits payed into my account. Each time I was passed up the line and then told the credits would be in my account within 5 working days. The last time I attempted to receive my credits I was told that because of the government energy payment that I could not recieve all of my credits to which I replied that it was not a problem and to leave the amount as a buffer. I was then told that they needed my bank account details even though they had payed into my account before. After nearly 6 months of waiting I joined Bill Hero and went to another provider on the 5th of April and AGL have at this stage contacted my or given me my credit back. My wife has Lymphodema and this year we have had to hire a machine to help contain it, the credit which is over a thousand dollars was earmarked to help purchase the machine outright. All we want is our money in our account.

Customer received a bill three times the normal amount, followed up multiple times with agl, received contradicting information and no resolution.
I received a bill three times the normal amount. The first conversation was on the 27th. I then called the next day to provide the metre reading. I then called on the 16th of march to follow up where he told me there had been a problem with the read and I would be issued a new bill. I then followed up on the 26th of march to be told no that’s the correct amount with no other help offered. I have screenshots of all of the contradicting conversations.

Customer seeks $150-$200 monthly bill and apology from agl for shockingly high final bill, billing address error, and inadequate customer service.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent billing experience I encountered with AGL Energy. As a loyal customer for nearly two years, I have always appreciated the consistency and transparency in your billing practices. However, the final bill I received upon moving out of my studio apartment was shockingly exorbitant, totalling $790.78. Throughout my tenancy, my monthly bills consistently ranged between $150-$200, which was reasonable considering my minimal energy consumption in a small living space. The sudden spike in the final bill raises serious concerns regarding its accuracy and transparency. Despite reaching out to your customer service through the app for clarification, I was met with inadequate responses that failed to address my concerns satisfactorily. The inability to provide a clear explanation or offer any resolution beyond a dismissive "it is what it is" response was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. Furthermore, I must bring to your attention an error in the billing address listed on the invoices. The correct address of my residence is 119/88 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042, whereas the bills inaccurately state 119/74 King Street. I can provide documented evidence to support this discrepancy. In light of these issues, I am formally requesting to pay the average monthly bill amount as the final payment and refuse to comply with the unreasonable amount stated on the bill. I trust that AGL Energy, as a reputable energy provider, will rectify this matter promptly and ensure fair and transparent billing practices for all customers.
