Poor sound quality at elvis costello concert, seeking $278 compensation from sydney opera house, apology requested, experience ruined.
I am complaining about the unsatisfactory product experienced at the Elvis Costello and Imposter concert last night 02nd April 2024, that was so bad I needed to leave after around 80 mins with my guest. We could take no more. I am not complaining about, Elvis and the musicians or the set. I am specifically complaining about the poor quality of the sound experience at our seats in the A Reserve Circle seats N11 & N12. All but the ballads were inaudible and painful. Even the taped introduction was distorted and inaudible. It was a taster of the show presented. I do not know if this was due to extremely poor acoustics, poor sound engineering or the absence of a sound check, but this has to be the worst sound experience of any concert I have attended. Maybe the acoustics were aligned to the main concert area but in that case circle ticket holders should be made aware of the poor sound quality. I have seen Elvis Costello previously so know that this isn't fault with the musicians. Having purchased the tickets for the original show in 2023, we were naturally excited to finally get to experience Elvis Costello and the Imposters and at $278.00 total cost, ($139 x 2) a ticket, we naturally expected that the product presented by arguably the worlds single finest Opera House in a World Heritage site would be outstanding. It wasn't. It was anything but. My guest was on the final night of her holidays and returned to the UK this morning. Her final memory of Australia ruined and sadly she will probably tell her friends and family of this experience. Very embarrassing for me. I kindly seek compensation for the tickets and poor experience. I don't think I can recommend the Opera House to my family, friends or any future guests when clearly the primary product delivered is, (at least based on this experience), not fit for purpose.

Complaint about food quality at sydney opera house, seeking apology, assurance to improve, and labeling of food contents for allergies.
I wish to lodge a complaint about the quality of the food provided for those attending the opera. As one allergic to colour and preservatives, the food sold should include label of contents. the food should also be fresh and tasty. There was a very limited choice of food and the snack I purchased was the only food that looked reasonable. However after purchase I noticed contents were not disclosed and my husband found it to taste unpleasant.

Customer seeks full refund and apology from sydney opera house due to disruptive behavior of yiruma's wife during performance.
To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the experience I had during Yiruma's 2024 piano performance at the Sydney Opera House.

On the evening of the performance, I was seated in B38, the second row from the left. Throughout the event, my viewing experience was severely disrupted by a woman who repeatedly walked back and forth in front of my left side. Her intention seemed to be preventing the audience members in the middle front row from taking photos and videos. However, her constant movement was highly distracting and significantly affected my enjoyment of the performance.

Due to the policy prohibiting talking during the performance, this woman stood next to me, frequently waving her hands around my head in an attempt to stop guests in the front row from taking photos and videos. When the audience did not comply with her demands, she would audibly sigh, directing her breath towards my face. This behavior was extremely unpleasant and disruptive.

After the performance, I sought to identify this individual who had acted in such an inappropriate manner. To my astonishment, I discovered that she was Yiruma's wife. Her conduct was widely recognized as problematic by those seated on the left side, including myself. Many of us expressed our grievances to Angela, a staff member, following the performance.

As paying attendees, we expected to enjoy the concert without such disruptions. Instead, we were subjected to constant sighs and an overbearing presence. If any audience members were seen taking photos, this woman would position herself at the far left of that row, glaring at the audience with an arrogant and unreasonable demeanor. It is important to note that Yiruma's wife is not an employee of the Sydney Opera House, and her behavior was both inappropriate and intolerable.

Given the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for the tickets purchased and a formal apology from the organizers for the distressing experience we endured. The actions of Yiruma's wife were wholly unprofessional and detracted from what should have been a memorable and enjoyable performance.

I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Miya
