Customer seeks ticket exchange and apology from ticketmaster after being promised a transfer to a sold-out concert, missing out on tickets.
I was contacted by Ticketmaster re possible doubled up tickets for Cold Chisel in Ballarat on 9 Nov. I then rang them at 4:20 pm on Saturday 1 June & spoke to Eli. I enquired if two of the tickets could be transferred to the Cold Chisel concert in Mornington on 10 Nov which was going on sale Tuesday 4 June in which I was told this would be no issue, I then confirmed this on a number of occasions & was assured the tickets would be swapped. I was then contacted at 12:40 pm on Tuesday 4 June by Eli at Ticketmaster who informed that this now could not be done & the Mornington concert was sold out, I asked to speak to a supervisor & the line was disconnected, I then tried ringing back on the same number but it went to an American Ticketmaster that was unable to help, I then tried to call another Ticketmaster number but was unable to get through. I later received an email from Eli at Ticketmaster saying he tried to ring me back but was unable to get through. I had no calls, missed calls or messages though. I then replied to Eli email requesting to be contacted by a supervisor to discuss my issue. I was informed via email that they do not contact people, only communicate via email. I again replied saying I have contacted Ticketmaster by telephone & they have also contacted me via telephone, again asking to be contacted. I was then emailed saying as the concert is now sold out, a supervisor would not contact me & the matter would be closed. The main issue is that due to being promised to exchange the concert dates, we did not attempt to purchase tickets for the Mornington concert, therefore missing out on the opportunity to go as it sold out within an hour. I would just like the tickets exchanged from Ballarat to Mornington as promised. Thank you
