Customer seeks monetary compensation from vaya for ongoing payments for unused service despite requests to stop deductions.
I have been making payments to vaya for a service I do not use and have not been using for a very long time. Despite numerous contacts to tell them to stop they are still coming out on a monthly basis. Vaya should be able to see I do not use their service. The only contact I receive is a text or email when my card has expired to update the details. I have never once updated these card details and yet payments are still continuing. Over the amount of years this monthly amount has been slowly eroding the bank account and I have been a bit slow to notice most of the time as I use my card a lot for personal and business. Vaya needs to cease these deductions immediately and some sort of monetary compensation would be good since this is a service I do not use and have been paying for despite never having updated my card details which I'm sure is against the law.

Customer is complaining about an issue with vaya's website displaying incorrect amount due, threatening to close account.
Every time I go to vaya.net.au it tells me that Current amount due is $14.52. (Usual monthly payment is $44.00 - always made at the start of the month) If I click on Pay a bill the amount of $14.52 comes up in red. I have reported this to VAYA and discussed it already with no effect. I am anxious to protect my excellent payment record which VAYA can confirm. I am so annoyed with the continuing erroneous claim that I am a debtor that I am likely to close our account with VAYA if the issue cannot be resolved quickly. Thank you.

Customer unable to receive calls or messages for over a month, vaya keeps changing promised fix date, unable to switch providers without receiving messages for verification.
I haven't been able to reciver calls or msges for over a month. They have continually told me the issue will be fixed on x date only to change when date arrives. I cant even move to a different provider as I need to be able to receive msg to verify, so I am just stuck.

WE SUGGEST

Despite telcos operating on modern infrastructure, things do occasionally go wrong. Whether you can’t call your partner due to an outage, or you get overcharged on a bill, Ajust is here to make it easy to send your complaint so that you can get a resolution.

We tell you how to make a complaint about your mobile or internet service, whether you're with the big 3 (Telstra, Optus and TPG) or one of the many other smaller players. We also fill you in about the main issues facing telco consumers, like slow internet speeds and dropouts, damage to NBN equipment, faulty installation, poor customer service and delays.

How to complain to

Vaya

Before making a complaint to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, you must first try to resolve your complaint with your telco. Ajust’s platform guides you through a quick and easy process to ensure that all of the right information is sent to the business to ensure that you get a resolution. Here are some things you can consider before getting started.

01
Describe the issue and how it affected you
Explain what went wrong such as slow internet speeds or an unfair price increase and how the issue has affected you so that your telco understands the impact.
02
Consider how you’d like your telco to resolve your complaint
Help your telco by sharing what they can do to make it up to you, for example a replacement modem or a credit on your next bill.
03
Gather any materials that support your complaint
Make sure you have any files handy that will help your telco understand your complaint, such as a bill or a screenshot of a speed test.
