Customer complains about being charged $28 for an unwanted hair care product at hairhouse hervey bay, seeking investigation into deceitful practices.
I was having a colour at Hairhouse Hevey Bay in the Stocklands shopping complex on Saturday morning 6th July 2024. As I was having my hair blowdried another employee put a hair care product down in front of me and said there you go. I asked the hairdresser doing my hair if it was a freebie. When I went to pay, my hairdresser went to calculate my bill and she found it had already been done by another person working there. Upon returning home and looking at my bill I saw I was charged $28 for the item I did not request or want. This is deceitful and manipulative behaviour. It did not appear to involve my hairdresser ( Cecily ). I am embarrassed to go back and ask for a refund as I stupidly thought it was a gift for spending over $200 on a half head of foils. I think this is dishonest to include in the cost something I didn't ask for or want. I suppose the outcome i want is for someone to investigate the deceitful and manipulative practices going on at the Hairhouse Hervey bay. Debi Watkins Ph 0431810815

Customer unsatisfied with keratin hair straightening service at hairhouse warehouse, seeking refund due to poor results affecting special event attendance.
Good evening, I am writing this email in regards to a keratin permanent hair straightening service that I received yesterday at Dandenong Hairhouse. I am not satisfied with the results. I called two surrounding Hairhouse stores (Keysborough and Fountain Gate), and they recommended that I speak directly to the hair stylist. Moreover, I was informed that I am able to ask for a refund and resolve the problem elsewhere. I stated that I refused to resolve the problem where it occurred. I honestly felt bad saying it to the hairstylist, who seemed passionate about her work. However, I do not want them to go ahead with ‘fixing my hair’. To begin with, I booked an appointment in for a keratin permanent hair straightening at Hairhouse. I booked it for 5 p.m. on 10/05. I got there at 5 and wasn’t seen until just after 5:30 p.m. I take responsibility for not checking when they closed. From my understanding, I thought they closed at 9 p.m., hence why I went ahead with the booking. I asked the hair stylist how long it would take, and she answered it should be done at 8. I have limited knowledge on hair services and thought the service would be completed in an efficient manner due to Hair House having, quote quote, ‘high quality hair services by a qualified and experienced team of hair stylists'. The customer service itself was exceptional; however, the actual hair process was devastating. Personally, I feel as if the hair developer was not left in long enough. I was told it would be left in for 40 minutes, and after what I believe was 20 minutes, I was informed my hair was ready to be rinsed. Also, when my hair was being straightened, it was done in clumps, portioned too big for my liking considering my natural hair texture. I’m not sure if this is part of the service, but I expected a round barrel blush to be used when my hair was being blow dried, and it was not. I once had a blow wave, wash, and trim at the Hairhouse in Fountain Gate, and my hair stylist used a round barrel brush, and I was absolutely amazed at the results. Overall, I was not happy with the results of my keratin permanent hair straightening. I woke up the next day (11/05) with waves on my front left strand and the bottom of my hair on the right side. If this is what it looks like a day after the service, how should I expect it to look in a month? I am one for trusting the process, but I cannot risk waiting it out to then be informed that Hairhouse may not be eligible to fix my hair without payment, as anything could have happened to affect the results in the duration of ‘trusting the process’. I called up the store, which is located in Dandenong Plaza, and explained my situation. She said to come in on Wednesday to wash it. I explained to her that I don’t want it washed as of now; I need it fixed before we go ahead with washing it. Overall, the conversation led to her repeating herself and recommending that I wait until Wednesday to ‘wash it’. She also mentioned that treatment would be involved to make it smoother. Furthermore, I asked her if this ‘treatment’ is specifically made for keratin hair straightening, and she stated that it was a ‘normal treatment.’ I don’t want a ‘norma treatment." I want something that is specifically made for keratin permanent hair straightening to solve the issue I am currently facing. I ended the conversation as it wasn’t progressing anywhere near where I had hoped. I now refuse to come back and have it fixed at any hair salon. I am dissatisfied with the way my hair turned out. As a result, I would like a reimbursement for the charges of my next service that I have arranged elsewhere or a refund for the service itself. My reason for this is because I was informed by a hairstylist elsewhere that I would have to undergo the process again to achieve my expected results. I had a wedding today that I did not attend due to being unsatisfied with my hair. I am very insecure about not having things go as planned and could not face going out with my hair like this. I work full time and spent one of my two days off work going around looking for a salon that was willing to assist me in fixing what should have been completed by Hairhouse in Dandenong. I had to straighten out the parts that were waved, as I was leaving the house today. My hair does not feel soft as I expected and it seems as if it’s a frizzy straight.

Customer seeks $40 refund from hairhouse warehouse for incorrect product recommendation and poor customer service from manager.
I went in the Werribee store for some help and advice. I am naturally grey now , so I went in with a photo to see if I could achieve the colour in the photo.
The girl that served me said yes and picked the colour and proixide told me how to use , I went home and did as per her instructions only to be disappointed as it did not take at all , I’m still grey.
So I went back to the store explained the issue to the manager , she told me it was not there policy to refund , policy shows to pick carefully as there will be no refund.
Point is, i didn’t pick the product and I was also assured it would take .
Now I have the other half that I have no use for and $40 down the drain!
May I also mention the store manager was very rude which I did not appreciate , she was not at all obliging or willing to help in anyway .
Not good customer service ! 😡
