Customer frustrated with terrywhite chemmart mountain gate for poor phone service, incorrect prescription filling, and lack of follow-through on solutions.
My goodness. Terry White chemist Mountain Gate need to train their staff to answer phones properly. Answering sorry mam you have to ring back we are busy doesn’t really cut it. I wasn’t given the opportunity to even say whom I wanted to speak to or what it was about. I went to speak and was told again you will have to ring back. In sheer frustration I went over there and spoke the the young male whom I had said one word to. I asked to see pharmacist and was again told we are busy. I then said I would still like to see here. Meanwhile she is behind the counter and could see all that was going on. So I waited for her to finish a clients order. I explained that I had bought my scripts in Wednesday and told the young girl I would pick them all up the next day as I had an injection that had to be ordered and wouldn’t come in until 2pm the next day. My husband picks them up this morning and 2 of my scripts are filled but not ticked or ordered. 2 of my husbands as well. This is not the first time either. We didn’t need them filled yet Then I had 3 scripts they charged me for because they filled them the day I came in instead of the following day when they were due. I got a sorry we are busy, and a maybe solution which wasn’t followed through. Anyway that’s the end of us for that chemist now. Thought we would give them a go after Jeremy sold up and left, but terrible. 😣

Customer seeks refund and apology from terrywhite chemmart due to disorganized service, lack of priority for booked appointments, and unprofessional behavior of pharmacist.
This complaint related to the Terry White store at 33 Mcintyre Road, South Australia. We are highly busy professionals who h long working hours, so finding the time for vaccinations is always a challenge. We also have a 13 year old daughter with GAD and an adult daughter (Maddie) with severe autism. For this reason we book vaccinations early in the morning and back to back - we were all booked in from 9.15 to 9.40, all wanting the cell-based flu vaccination, with four of us a look so wanting the COVID vaccine. I check d before we left and only one other booking slot was gone 9.00am) giving us confidence that it would be a smooth process. Our concerns are as follows: 1/ When paying we asked to have the vaccinations in a particular order, ti support our daughter with anxiety. This was agreed to but after we waited the pharmacist seemed confused and stated that I had to go first. 2/ walk in patients were given priority meaning that our 13 year old ended up in tears. 3/ All of a sudden the pharmacist walked away and accused my husband of taking photos of his workspace (which he didn’t - he always fiddles with his phone when he gets nervous and we were all getting anxious knowing the impact of the delay and the change of order on our daughter with GAD. He then went behind the counter and said he could not find his records ebbed though we had our vaccines at the same Pharmacy previously) later he admitted that he had them). 4/ t the harmonist did not swab my daughter’s arm before administering the vaccine 5/ The pharmacist did not clean kis workspace between providing vaccinations and often seemed confused as to where things were 6/ The pharmacist seemed generally not very organised We ended up only finalising the vaccine for our daughter with Autism as she is most at risk and we got a refund for the cell-based vaccine for my husband. The pharmacist agreed to ensure that he would accurately record which vaccines were given and which were not, however we have little confidence seeing his lack of organisation and his erratic behaviour. We would like written confirmation that all has been recorded correctly. Please not were are kind and respectful people, and while working in a pharmacy no doubt brings with it difficult interactions, the way the pharmacist behaved was highly concerning.

Delayed antiviral medication for elderly father due to misinformation from terrywhite chemmart, causing unnecessary stress and confusion for family.
My 90-year-old father contracted Covid. He has cardio myopathy and has recently had heart surgery. He lives alone. He called his GP on Saturday 11 May to get a script for antivirals. The GP said they emailed the script to Terry White Pharmacy Toowong Village. My Dad called to check and Terry White said they didn't have the script. Dad then called his doctor again on Sunday morning and the surgery confirmed they had emailed the script. Dad lives on his own as my siblings and I live in other cities. I was organising for my son to pick up the medicine and deliver it to Dad. I called Terry White Pharmacy on Dad's behalf and to let them know that my son was collecting the medicine. The male pharmacist or attendant who answered my call said that they had the script but didn't have the medicine in stock. He said they would have to order it in. He told me to ring around and find a chemist that did have the medicine in stock and then call him back. He would then forward the script to that pharmacy. I called a number of pharmacies and finally found one that did have the script. This took valuable time. I also called Dad's doctor's surgery and they confirmed that they had sent the script. When I called Terry White Toowong back to ask them to forward the script to the chemist that did have the medicine in stock I spoke with a lady pharmacist on weekend duty. She said that they did have the correct medicine and it was waiting for Dad to collect. She said they were waiting for the script. Hearing that I was upset and frustrated, she offered to call Dad's doctor and get the script. She said she would call me back. At the time of writing this complaint, I have yet to hear back from Terry White Chemmart Toowong. My complaint is that I was told a complete falsehood by the male pharmacist. I was clearly told that they didn't have the medicine and that I had to find it. The man said they did have the script. The reasons I'm so angry about this are: - My father needed the antiviral medicine urgently and this falsehood caused unnecessary delay - The careless way that I was dismissed by the male pharmacist ('ring around yourself and find the medicine') was extraordinarily poor. The pharmacist knew the situation was urgent as my poor father had spoken with him in confusion. - My family and I were left confused and worried by this bad communication - I was literally lied to. The man told me they didn't have the medicine in stock and yet it was waiting on the shelf with my Dad's name on it to be collected. I'm having trouble getting my head around this as surely there's a code of practice for pharmacies that uphold the highest ethical standards of truth and care We have lived in Toowong for over 30 years and Terry White Chemmart has been our local pharmacy. This is such poor service that we'll reconsider using Terry White again.

Customer seeks apology and removal of franchise due to repeated issues with staff and inefficiency at terrywhite chemmart.
On several occasions I have had nothing but trouble with the incompetant and sparse staff at the Australind store. They loose scripts, make you wait up to 45 minutes and then its still not ready, after going back they tell you, they don't have it in stock. Theres never the same pharmacists,. there Its the most inefficient pharmacy I have ever gone to. I will never again. O hear complaints from many people. They even tried to charge for pills I had purchased, but the pills were generic ones so I took them back to ask for my usual ones, finally when got them back a week later, they tried to charge me again, I stood my ground and made a stand and most of people in cue were disgusted with the absolute efficiency and random behaviour. Take the franchise of them

Customer seeks apology from terrywhite chemmart for rude treatment due to hearing loss, discrimination, and issues with medication pickup.
I have been told that I’m rude by my local terry white when I ask how I was told I yell at the staff. I’m deaf in one ear. I have have sent my career down to pick up medications that Tac have been paying for for months only to be told that they won’t be able to be picked up until they are paid for or a letter is provided by Tac covering these medications. So I’ve organised that. Then because one was miss spelt I was refused to be given it on account until they received the letter with the correct spelling or I was to pay for it myself and the pharmacy knew I’d been getting this medication for years on Tac and I was on the phone with Tac and I said could you do a verbal while I get the letter sent. I was told no. It’s the same chemist that has hung up on me and has spoken to me rude on several occasions and I’ve had my career who’s over hearing her. I’m tired of being spoken to and treated this way when my account is a substantial amount and I’m a member of the community with a disability and I’ve feel i’ve been discriminated against due to my hearing loss. I’ve been told so as well.

Customer's 11-week-old daughter had severe allergic reaction to dairy-containing tablet prescribed by terrywhite chemmart pharmacist who lied about its ingredients.
My daughter who is 11 weeks old is allergic to dairy when prescribed a tablet that she is to take for 4 weeks by the doctor I asked the pharmacist if this tablet contained dairy as she is highly allergic she said no without hesitation and didn’t double check on the computer my daughter on the third day my daughter woke up with a swollen face was severely irritated and in pain as-well as constipated. I google the ingredients come to find out it contains lactose in it when I asked the pharmacist she said they knew it had lactose but there is no dairy free option. So not only did the pharmacist filling her script know the head pharmacist that was talking her through the process of filling the script knew it had lactose and knows of my daughters allergy as I was telling them about it as this tablet was suppose to help her anaphylactic reaction from when she had dairy and hasn’t been able to heal her throat properly. This could of been deadly if she was on it for to long and I did not google trusting the word of the pharmacist this is unacceptable and disgusting that the pharmacist lied to a patient regarding their babies health.

Customer seeks $40 and apology from terrywhite chemmart for pharmacist's mistake in failing to attach script copy, causing inconvenience and extra cost.
I attended Terry White pharmacy Busselton on 14/2/24 to have a script filled. It had 3 repeats on the script. I am now home in Victoria and just attended my local pharmacy for a repeat. Terry white busselto failed to attach the blue copy of the script to the repeat authorisation so my pharmacist is unable to dispense. I called Terry White Busselton and they advise me they dont keep the scripts and I will need to make an appointment to see my doctor for another script. This will mean I am $40 out of pocket and my time for the mistake of the pharmacist at Terry White Busselton.

Customer complains about rude and unkind treatment at terrywhite chemmart while trying to get a prescription filled.
The chemist was very rude. I was treated like a a drugs seeker for trying to get a script filled that was issued by my family doctor. I was then very rudely told that the script had a been canceled and got on the phone with the doctor, they said it was okay and checked with the doctor and she said it was fine considering the stuff I have been through. <br />The chemist again rudely interrupted and said “well we can’t do it we will have to fax it through”. I didn’t have enough time, as I was supposed to be getting back to rest. <br />Some of the staff there are very kind but this one is we not. She was very rude, very unkind and she treated me like I was a drug seeker. <br />I am a 24 year old that had just been re-diagnosed with brain cancer. I don’t want any special treatment but that wasn’t any sort of way anybody should great anybody. <br />I am unsure of how how to take this complaint further but I would like to considering she doesn’t deserve to work/ operate in a business like this.

I went shopping today in Terry White Chemmart Albany Creek. I purchased two perfumes and they didn’t take into account a discount. Later I noted they did not honour a twenty perfect t further discount on one of the perfumes, and waited 15 min or more only for the staff to inform it will not be honoured due to it being half price, this was not clear at all. Thank you.

Customer denied morning after pill due to being transgender male, requested staff training for engaging with transgender demographic.
I presented to a Terry White Chemist in Flagstone Queensland today requesting a morning after pill. <br /><br />I am a transgender male and as a result I have the facial features of a male (facial hair).<br /><br />The chemist in shift informed me that she could not provide me with the morning after pill. I agreed to do the appropriate paperwork and process to obtain the morning after pill but was informed by the chemist that unless I could produce paperwork that I was a “female” (probably because of the whole uterus thing) I would not be provided the medication I requested….<br /><br />The chemist informed me that I would have to attend the GP clinic next door to the Terry White Chemist to have brain paperwork that I was in fact a “female”.<br /><br />I don’t want anything other than this particular chemist who was working at 10am Sunday 23rd June 2024, and other Terry White staff to obtain appropriate training with engaging with the transgender demographic..
