Customer paid $40 for opal ear studs at skinkandy, but they fell apart after 8 weeks. difficulty inserting new earrings due to swelling.
I got my ears pierced on 24/1/24 at Carindale in the afternoon, all went well. I paid an extra $40 to have the opal ear studs inserted. Almost 8 weeks later I awoke to find one earring in my bed it had fallen apart. The opal had fallen off where it was glued to the silver backing and was in my bed, the post was stuck to the outside of my ear the back of the earring was missing. I couldn't get the other earring out of my ear, it took 2 hours and my ear swelled up. As soon as the other earring was removed the opal fell off the silver backing and the back fell off ... the earring literally disintegrated. I paid $40 for these earrings and they didn't last 8 weeks. I am now unable to get earrings in the holes very easily it takes me half an hour. My ear swelled up trying to get the second earring out and was painful. I waited for all the swelling to go down with cold pack before trying to put new earrings in.

Customer is complaining about a pierced earring falling out and receiving unhelpful and rude customer service.
My 4 year old daughter had her ears pierced for the first time 2 days ago. Overnight the earring has already fallen out. I called customer service and spoke to Amanda who was completely unhelpful. She was unconcerned with the situation and stated that I would have to pay for the ear to be repierced. She was very rude. I refuse to pay for another piercing to be done when I spent over $80 the first time. I would like this situation rectified asap please. Thank you kindly, Lisa Victory

Customer seeks reimbursement for er visit due to faulty earring installation by skinkandy staff, requesting cover of expenses and an apology.
I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I experienced with a pair of earrings I purchased from your store. On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, I had a 6mm flat back earring installed in my Helix area by one of your staff members.However, on Friday night, I noticed that the back of the earring was missing. I visited the nearest store to my home, located in Chastwood, on Saturday. Upon inspection, the staff informed me that the back of the earring had embedded itself into my ear and recommended that I visit the Emergency Room to have it removed.I am extremely upset about this situation as I had to visit the ER, incurring significant costs for the removal procedure. I am seeking your assistance to address this issue and cover the expenses I incurred due to the faulty installation of the earring.I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution to this matter. Please let me know what steps you can take to assist me.To provide further context, I had my helix piercing done a year ago, though not at one of the SK stores. The piercing healed well, and I have not had any issues with it until I visited the Sydney Central store last Wednesday. I walked into the CBD store to seek advice on changing my helix earring. The staff recommended the 6mm flat back earring and offered to change it for me, which I agreed to as this was my first time changing the helix earring and I trusted their expertise.
