Customer upset over pharmacy staff using dead name, seeking apology and changes to prevent future incidents. concerned for well-being of trans community.

The script issued in my previous name and I was humiliated with my dead name being called out. Won't ever be back. Don't like being made an object of humiliation. So dissapointed and disgusted. Trans girls have pride and emotions that need to be taken into consideration like every one else. Absolute disgrace. Lucky it was me. I do know of trans girls who ended up taking their lives overs things like this. Fix this so it don't happen to someone else. Ps you can hear the pharmacists make jokes from the shop floor in my direction Have a nice day as mine was ruined

Customer felt insulted and disrespected by staff at ramsay pharmacy for questioning their purchase of medication without a prescription.
I attended your Caringbah store and requested Rikodeine and Cold and flu tablets, the lady behind the counter short brown hair with glasses, not the pharmacist, asked weather this was prescribed by a doctor, which I replied no, she then asked “me weather I take this often “ which I replied no, she then took my details, which I know she has too, I am sure that she could look up and see when I last purchased it, I think 12 months ago whilst having COVID, to imply other reason for my purchases is insulting and disrespectful, they way she looked at me made me feel awful, I understand that people must use and abuse these medications, but to imply that I would and in front of another customer made me feel awful, this lady should be spoken to, as there could have been better ways of communicating. Customer seeks refund and apology from ramsay pharmacy for not fulfilling generic brand script, charging higher price, and providing false information.
On 4/12/23 a script for Trimethoprim (Alprim) was $6.30. yesterday on Med Advisor I ordered the same product and it was Alprim (same product) made in Australia and cost $9.45. When I queried price I was told Ramsay Pharmacy at Cleveland were out of the Trimethoprim because it was delayed in coming in from overseas. This is bullshit!! I’m sick and tired of Ramsay Pharmacy at Cleveland being unable to fulfill scripts of the generic brand, it’s not the first time. If you cannot fulfill the generic brand asked for then you should still charge the customer the generic brand cost. As a retiree I object to being fed false tales as to why you haven’t got it. I also object to paying the non generic brand cost. Surely it’s something Made in Australia that ahould be available. I can always source. scripts from Chemist Warehouse which I would have done had I known the situation. I am a customer who is fed up and have been a Malouf customer for 24 years. Since the acquisition things have deteriorated. Unfriendly staff, no recognition etc. The only thing that saves this pharmacy are the ladies in the perfumery/cosmetic department! Please give me an honest reply as to why you did not fulfill my script as requested on the Med Advisor app.

Customer complains about a pharmacist refusing to fill a valid prescription, providing incorrect advice, and exhibiting an arrogant attitude.
My daughter Bianca Wylie who will be 21 in November presented a script for Tramadol prescribed a Dr Matthew Broadhurst a Brisbane ear nose and throat specialist.<br />Bianca took the script to Ramsay at Merthyr Village in New Farm on Sat 10 august in the morning <br />They took it in and advised her to return in 30 minutes <br />She returned and was told by the Chinese female pharmacist that she refused to fill the script<br />As it was the weekend she had planned to start taking a new medication when she was not at work<br />Bianca called me and I spoke to the pharmacist on the phone.<br />Her reasons were that it was not an appropriate medication and she suggested a dry cough Duratass syrup and that the script was not on a green form <br />She had been shown the doctor’s notes that he had emailed Bianca so that Bianca could show her that it was her doctor and she had letters from him<br />The pharmacist had an arrogant tone and would not fill the script but more importantly wanted to change the prescribed medication to her own ideas!<br /><br />I advised that I had paid $380 for the consultation and requested the script to be filled<br />I also advised that my late father was a pharmacist and over riding a doctor’s medical advice was wrong and dangerous and that she was not afterall a doctor <br />She had a high handed approach and replied that she would return the script to my daughter.<br /><br />I had to call the doctor this morning and have his receptionist call the pharmacy- Bianca lost time of taking it over the weekend, was upset by the whole situation in the pharmacy and lose time waiting and coming back and me having to intervene to no avail.<br /><br />I think this pharmacist over stepped the line, made going to the pharmacy a daunting experience and gave incorrect advice as to prescribed medication and failed to fill a perfectly valid script <br />The script has now been filled at the same pharmacy but by a different pharmacist <br />I think this pharmacist needs to be spoken to about her role.
