Customer purchased watch at prouds, had issues with battery replacement, poor communication, and rude staff. requesting apology and better customer service.
I bought a $251 guess watch at Prouds Caloundra in March this year whilst on holidays. After a few weeks I noticed it was losing time so I took into my local prouds at Springfield Orion who told me they would have to send it away for 6 weeks to get a new battery. After 8 weeks and missing my watch I rang the Springfield store who told me my watch was there and had been for 4 weeks. I go into the store today 16 June and spoke to Jacinta. Jacinta told me that someone had rung me but didn't leave a message as I did not have message bank. I asked if she had thought to ring again as I had no idea they had rung. She was very rude and told me they don't have time to ring twice. She had a bad attitude and I told her an apology wouldn't go astray and she yelled at me and said it wasn't her fault. I think you teach your staff some customer service. An apology would have gone a long way but instead I was yelled at

Customer unhappy with prouds the jewellers for not completing requested repair on a valuable necklace, despite multiple attempts and $200 paid.
What a horrible experience dealing with Prouds. Put my Necklace in to replace eye that goes into the clasp. it is 50 year old necklace that was my later fathers. After 10 weeks I got it handed back my daughter was dealing with it, so she got it back OMG! the clasp had been discounted from the chain all together not solider on, and not cleaned. She was shocked so was the manager. it was sent back waited again got it back it was cleaned and clasp is back on chain. But the eye was still not replaced all this for $200 we did get $50 off but still the job asked for was not done. This was so stressful it is an old necklace of very good quality, that was given back in a poor state. I should not have to pay for a service i did not ask for and still did not get done ,I don't know you your jeweler is but they should be fired what a disgrace how do you call your self a jeweler. Note, that the staff at all times were helpful and nice and shocked as well.

Customer disappointed with prouds the jewellers for not honoring sale price on earrings, seeking apology and resolution.
I was in your Blacktown store on Saturday 25/05 when I pointed a pair of earrings that were on sale in your windows. I looked at them & said great I will take them. They were reduced to $79.00. When the lady took them to the register she said she couldn’t sell them to me because the price was wrong. I said to her but they were in the window. She said that she was the manager & could not do. Very very disappointing. I ended up walking out

Customer seeks $25 credit note and apology from prouds the jewellers for lack of competence in enforcing cancellation fee policy.
RE: Request for credit note of $25, Reprimand Op 119976 female asst manager on duty last Sunday 19 May 2024 at about 2pm at Prouds Myer Centre Brisbane for lack of competence Lay-by 1276582 Cr Sapphire / diamonds pear shape pendant Where to attach photo? My friends and I have been a regular customer of Prouds since I migrated in 1980. I was about to make an instalment on my lay-by then the officer on duty assisted. That I want to change my purchase to another item of the same amount or more. She insisted that I have to pay the $25 cancellation fee first to proceed. I was surprised and remarked that this is the first time I heard of this. I asked her if she was sure in interpreting the T&C. She pointed out to me on the receipt article 8. That she has been in the job in the last 2.5 years. I kept on bargaining that this is new to me. That it is enterprising and should just issue me a credit note. However, I wanted to continue the lay-by on another product and repeated that it is the same amount or more. She kept on insisting that I had to pay the $25 cancellation fee first. On my way out I asked Angus & Coote and explained that in order not to pay the $25, I could had paid the full amount then returned the item and purchase another. I remarked that this is very enterprising. Actually greed, when she kept on reasoning out that the pendant that had been put away could had been sold why the cancellation fee is applied. As I was getting nowhere with her and that I may lose my temper, so I opted to refund me the $100 and lose the $25. I did not want her to tell me again the reason about the cancellation fee and that she did not want me to leave upset. That I will call up the company about this. Now I am writing about the incident. I purchased a ring for $499 at the same shop then the following week I was able to have it replaced with the pair of earrings but did not get the matching pendant. I waited for about another year keeping an eye when this pendant would be on special again. While the first pendant was still on lay since 2 April, I thought of purchasing another pendant at Chermside two weeks ago to have both converted into a pair of earrings. And the earrings into a pendant. I already had a quote but realised that it is not wise for me to do so why I might as well use the money of the lay be for something else. TO CONCLUDE, I look forward that the solution would be a win-win situation and get back my $25 credited to my next lay-by / purchase. I do not spend money to lose this way. I would prefer not to deal with this staff. The staff who assisted me from the start was quite sweet why I was so delighted to consider the lay-by in the cbd. Chermside is more convenient for me. Please revise your article 8 of the T&C into: In order not to incur any cancellation fee of $25, pay the full amount, return the product and we could issue a credit note. Chinese are prosperous because they are customer focused. Thanking you, Celia Camara 04512890148 celiacamara@tpg.com.au

Customer seeks store credit from prouds the jewellers due to lack of information on return policy and dissatisfaction with created emerald ring purchase.
As I bought a Created Emerald ring at Cannon Hill store in my Lattiude card . I wasn’t told about return policy by sales staff no signs in store I researched about Created Emeralds not the same as natural the price would drop as soon as I left the store Seeing I went back the next day & explained to sales person I was told no refund the ring hadn’t even left the store . I was very disappointed I haven’t even got store credit I then went to Wynnum store explained it . While you don’t sell natural Emeralds your sister company do so I went to Calpalaba store found natural Emerald ring it’s a $150 dearer but I can see the quality. Now the sales staff at Wynnum is going to find out if the store credit can go to them seeing it’s part of the company. I don’t think I’m be unreasonable to ask this . Yes I should have research about Created Emeralds first . The ring I loved at Angus & Coote is the one I want as my husband passed away 10 yrs ago & our 50 yr anniversary is coming up I hope we can reach some sort of agreement on this please . Kind Regards Shane Muller

Customer seeking replacement pin from prouds the jewellers for bracelet, upset about denial due to scratches caused by pin falling out.
Hi there, I recently had sent in a bracelet to be fixed after one of the pins fell out causing it to fall off, but it has now been sent back saying it was customers fault because of scratches it only received after falling onto a rough ground due to the pin. After the bracelet was only brought in February it makes no sense as to why the pin couldn’t be replaced as it is still new. I was wondering what I am meant to do now with a bracelet you won’t fix due to ur faulty pins, that cannot be worn. I don’t want a exchange or refund i would just like the pin to be replaced

Customer seeks repair and apology from prouds the jewellers for bracelet, disappointed by lack of customer service and repair policy.
I went to the Prouds store in ocean keys shopping centre today in Western Australia.

The reason was to have a bracelet that I purchased from Prouds several years ago repaired. It only needs a new o ring and soldered. My expectations was for this bracelet to be sent away and repaired and I would be told approximately what the costs would be.

I did not want anything for nothing just wanted the bracelet repaired and I would pay the cost.

Sadly , walked out quite upset and I am still scratching my head and asking where has simple customer service gone with a little bit of care factor and love for what you are doing.

Instead I was meet with the most uninterested store person who told me that they don’t do repairs and I need to take it to a repair person and was told this was somewhere quite a distance from the ocean keys store.

I questioned why could it not be sent away as this was a normal procedure I was told that I would need my receipt of purchase .
I said I am sure you know your stock and it was in a Prouds box.

Care factor zero and I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience and stoping her from unpacking her stock.

I purchased this bracelet around 2018 with earrings in the Store in a Stockland shopping centre in NSW located in Forster .

Really who would keep a receipt from then.

I then asked if I purchased a Diamond Ring and it lost a diamond what would happen , I was told nothing without a receipt .

Can someone please tell me why I can not have a Prouds Bracelet repaired by your store at a cost to myself so I can just wear it again .

Simple question and hopefully there will be a positive simple solution .

Thank you kindly
Regards
Kristine

Customer feels disrespected after Prouds refused to fix a bracelet not purchased there, despite being a loyal customer.
I took in a sterling silver bracelet that just needs a new clasp to Ashfield Mall Prouds. They asked if I bought it there and when I said no they refused to fix it. I think this is really weak. It shows contempt for a good customer. I've bought lots of things at this shop too.
