Customer is experiencing ongoing direct debits from cigno years after loan, with excessive fees and negative impact on credit and financial assistance.
After getting my last cigno loan more than 2 years ago I'm still now getting direct debited fortnightly and have been for the past month or 2. I got a cigno loan a few years ago of $200 and within 2 months after having 1 out of 7 missed payments and $30 per week payments a loan amount owing nearly double the original amount. The fee for a missed payment was $92 then a few for contacting them via the website portal to change the date of payment $25. I somehow to their records had an amount owing of over $2500 on the original $200 loan. It obviously affected me then but I feel like more so now as it's stopped me currently from gaining in other financial assistance being the sole reason I've got knocked back for other assistance currently and it's obviously affecting my credit but my pockets immediately as the debits that've come out recently I refused to pay due to firstly reading that they have become illegal after being sued by ASIC and that comes with bank dishonored fees which I've accrued several due to this

I have been going through emails and read this email from CignoLoans. <br /><br />Currently there is an outstanding balance of $820.60. We would like to help you out with this and assist you with putting you on a small affordable arrangement. If we receive contact from you we can review for a settlement for $410.30!<br /><br />I have never applied or received any<br />Money from them. I did go through a domestic relationship between 2019-2020 where my ex partner had stolen my identity and used my name, bank account, etc fraudulently. I have yet delt with that situation with police after my ex partner was locked up in 2020 for physically, emotionally, mentally, physiologically abusing me. I can provide evidence to prove I was going through a domestic violence relationship at the time, if needed. <br /><br />I was wondering why I didn’t have a good credit score, and then realized that Cigno loans are trying to claim that I owe them $890. Which I do not owe them a cent. How can I get this accused debt revoked and wiped ?
