Customer lost access to ubank account due to phone number issue after experiencing a difficult situation, unable to access savings.
Had lost access to the phone number on my ubank to lo log in as my Facebook got hacked and I lost everything. I've just been through a dv experience whernow money is extremely tight I had a payment go in to my savings account and my phone had a meltdown down and uninstalled the app. I tried to call to reset the number to my current number so I could access the money, I due to luck had just been to department of transport to change my surname, as a result of this the worker actually took my licence becuase5cant have two IDs with different names legally. So I now have to wait for that to be sent out. Which means that ubank is unable to reset the phone number because that is the only I'd I have that I can use but I only have a photo of it not the actually card. I just really needed the money from my savings to my spend or rear the phone number so I could access the money. I was stuck 5 K aways from my daughter's school at 2.3p and all staff could say is go back to department of transport and ask for my license back for a min tk take the photo how can I when I can't access my money at all.

Ubank closed accounts without notice, didn't allow fund withdrawal, unresponsive to requests for return of funds. seeking $1500 compensation.
UBank notified me via email on April 11 in regards to closure of my accounts effective immediately, without giving me any opportunity to withdraw my funds. The normal procedure by banks is to allow few days for customers to withdraw their funds. I wasn't given any time to withdraw my funds, neither did they send me a cheque of my funds that were in my accounts. I have emailed them called them and have done everything in my capacity to get my funds back but they won't give me my funds back.

Customer locked out of ubank account after legitimate transactions, support promised unlock multiple times but failed, affecting trading income.
Ubank locked me out of their mobile and internet banking for doing legitimate transactions. I enquired with the customer support to resolve this issue and completed online id verification at their demand. Initially I was told the account will be unlocked on Monday, then they said it will be done by close of business on Tuesday and today is midday Wednesday. They still hasn’t unlocked my account and are keeping my money hostage. Lack of my funds has affected my trading income. I demand that Ubank unlock my account without any further delay.

I am trying to pay for my insurance and registration for my car as it expires very soon but Ubank has blocked my account and will not let me transfer money out of the account nor let any money come into my accounts. Customer seeks access to remaining balance and an apology from u bank for abrupt account termination without notice or explanation.
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the abrupt termination of my account with U Bank on Friday, May [date], without any prior notice or explanation. This action has left me in a deeply concerning and distressing situation, exacerbated by the fact that I was not given the opportunity to withdraw the remaining balance of $1300+ in my account. My account with U Bank was recently opened and was primarily used for basic transactions such as tap and pay, depositing money through PayID, or sending money out. It had been active for only around one week, if not less. The sudden closure of the account without grounds or explanation, and the subsequent refusal to allow me time to access my funds, is both unjust and unprecedented. Upon contacting U Bank's fraud department, I was informed that there were no suspected fraudulent activities associated with my account. Therefore, it is evident that this decision to terminate my account was made internally by the bank and not due to any fraudulent activity. The lack of communication and the failure to engage with me prior to closing my account is unacceptable. I find it particularly troubling that U Bank chose to notify me via email at the moment all funds were withdrawn from my account, leaving me with a balance of zero. This incident occurred on a Friday afternoon, just before Mother's Day, leaving me without access to any funds or a bank account over the weekend. The timing of this action only adds to the distress and inconvenience caused. Furthermore, the inability to discuss this matter with a qualified representative due to the limitations of the call center exacerbates the situation. I strongly urge U Bank to provide a detailed explanation for the termination of my account , the procedures that were made when returning the funds to their ‘original source’ and a detailed summary of who these funds were returned to, on what date and how much. Alternatively, I want immediate access to all funds available on that day to be able to disburse how i see fit so I am able to access my funds. Additionally, I request that U Bank review its internal policies and procedures to ensure that such actions are not taken without proper justification and communication with the affected customer. I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this issue further and provide the necessary clarification.
