Customer complaint of racial discrimination at costco, seeking apology and resolution for staff behavior towards muslim customers.
Racial discrimination by staff. One of the ladies at the front door was acknowledging everyone who was not wearing a head scarf. When my wife and daughter entered she refused to acknowledge them, deliberately looking away even when my daughter said to her "Hi how are you?". But as my daughter was waiting for a response this racist person was acknowledging everyone else who was walking in. Obviously she has an issue with Muslims and this type of conduct is unprofessional and racist to say the least and very offensive.

Customer complained about a man with a knife at costco, staff response was inadequate and lacked concern for safety.
Today around 3.45pm I attended Costco store at Majura in Canberra with my wife and 2 grand children (5 and 8). We were eating at the tables in the food area. On the other side sharing the table was two people. My gran daughter become very upset as she was sitting on the end and when asked what was wrong said " papa the man has a knife on his belt" . When I checked her observation was correct and the man had a medium size silver knife on his belt. Both gran children become very upset and we become concerned, given what is happening in the world We immediately got up, leaving our food n drinks on the table. My wife reported our concerns to a staff member behind a desk. We were appalled by her response and lack of concern given there was a potential fora real risk. Her comment was to us..is he a Sikh Indian? How the f...would we know! The fact she showed no concern is the real issue and this behaviour about the safety of Costco customers indicates a no care factor and potentially comprimises everyone.

Customer had a negative experience with an employee at costco marsden park branch, seeking an apology and better behavior from staff.
Hello I would like to report a complaint about one of your employees. I was told about the good product of Costco from my friends, and decided to come for the first time to your Marsden Park branch. I had some other shops with me and at the entry door I was informed by your employee that other shops of other stores can not be entered which is fine, I understand that is your rule and I respect that. However her behavior was unacceptable and it was very rude. I did not come there with my own car so I decided to leave and come back later. However as I was leaving she was yelling “I don’t know why you bring other shops from other stores” and things like that. I just wanted to report this so your employees will be more careful with their behavior with customers.

Customer upset with costco staff giving incorrect info on household memberships, leading to inconvenience and wasted trip back home.
The staff gave the wrong info. about the household memberships- she said as long as the family member is the same address with the premier member , he<br />can get another card without the premier member to be there. Then they refused to issue the membership card without I am showing there and simply saying it is the trend and conditions , did not mention that the staff gave the wrong info. and my husband had to go back home without buying anything

Customer demands an explanation, footage review, and apology after being wrongly accused of theft at Costco, causing distress and confusion.
On Wednesday 7th August, our family went shopping at costco Moorabin. On the Sunday 11 , i received a phone call from Moorabin Costco accused our group Stole/ took home a pair of glasses and the message and description directed to my Mum, they asked us to return the glasses or they will take the case to police. I as a membership card holder did ask every single one in our group if they did steal, or even mistakenly took the glasses with them. And all returned to me with the NO answer. During the call with the office I advised them to bring the matter to the police and we willing to cooperate. <br />I took the issue very seriously and asked everyone very seriously. The answer i got was still a NO. I do strongly believe that out family will never do that. <br />I then rang the office again and gave them the answer that none us stole it especially my Mum.I also asked them to double check the case, and give me an up date, they then got back to me and said that my Mum put the glasses in her right pocket and took Home, they once again asked us to check the pocket. I did talk to my Mum and she has been very stress and upset of being accused of stealing. Then i pursued my Mum to check her pocket just to be 100% about it and to make her feel good and calm her down. We were over over as Queenscliff at that time for a day trip and we couldn’t enjoy it anymore and My Mum wanted to go home immediately ao we ended up canceling the rest of the day activities to go home and check the pocket. Went through every single jackets/ clothes with pocket and checked and no glasses were found. Everyone was very upset with the accusation, i rang the office again to give them the answer that nothing was found, we didn’t steal and the accusation towards my Mum was wrong. <br />The office staff at that time say they would like to drop the case since we did take effort to work with them. They will not take any further actions, and will end the conversation about it. However we didn’t get any apology, . It was very confusing that hours ago they accused us then they dropped the case with an unclear answer. That left all of us with big confusion about the way they work, about what they saw on the footage, and how they made the conclusion then accuse my Mum stole their glass. I was gonna let this go, but the way the whole thing happened caused a lot of of confusion, and not clear and we didn’t get any apology. I took it as the store still think we my Mum stole the glasses and they just let us getaway with it. It’s not clear enough since we didn’t steal. We now require an explanation and the footage and we need to know what was the whole progress of accusing my Mum of stealing. Can you please have a look into this matter and give us an explanation. <br />Kind regards <br />Viet Huynh
